Jason Perkins

Jason attended Mercer University and graduated in 1997 with highest honors. He also graduated with honors from the University of Georgia School of Law in 2000. Since then, he has specialized in the representation of injured workers in their Workers’ Compensation claims.  Jason has also been accredited by the Department of Veterans Affairs to represent veterans in claims for veterans’ benefits.

Jason currently serves as the Immediate Past President of the Workers’ Compensation Claimants Lawyers section of the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association.  He also serves on the Executive Committee for the Workers’ Compensation Section of the State Bar of Georgia.

Jason has previously served on the Board of the Georgia Legal Foundation and the Editorial Board for the Verdict, the journal of the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association.  He is a member of the Georgia Trial Lawyers’ Association, the Workers’ Compensation Section of the State Bar of Georgia and the West Georgia Trial Lawyers Association.

Jason has been a featured speaker at several Workers’ Compensation continuing legal education seminars. Jason has had several articles published on various Georgia workers’ compensation topics including catastrophic designation, discovery and privacy, and case law updates.  He publishes Georgia workers’ compensation articles on the Perkins Law Talk blog on a weekly basis.

In his free time, Jason enjoys running, reading and spending time with his wife and two children.

Travis Studdard

Travis received his undergraduate degree in finance from the University of Georgia, where he was a First Honor Graduate (highest grade point average in graduating class). He also received his law degree with honors from the University of Georgia School of Law in 2004.

Travis joined Perkins Studdard, L.L.P. after graduation and has devoted his practice to representing injured workers and veterans in Workers’ Compensation and Veterans Benefits claims.  Travis is accredited by the Department of Veterans Affairs to represent veterans in veterans benefit claims and represents veterans at the Regional Office, the Board of Veterans Appeals, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims.

Travis is a member of the Board of Directors of Workers’ Compensation Claimants’ Lawyers (WCCL). He is also a founding board member of the West Georgia Trial Lawyers’ Association and is a past President of that group.  Travis is also a member of the National Organization of Veterans’ Advocates (NOVA), Georgia Trial Lawyers’ Association (GTLA) and the Workers’ Compensation Section of the State Bar of Georgia.

Travis is a member of the First United Methodist Church of Carrollton, where he has taught adult Sunday school and served on various committees, including his current role as Lay Leader of the congregation. Away from work, Travis enjoys spending time with family, playing golf, and working on his farm.
